Mobilera Holding BV, a leading CRM based mobile marketing and advertising company, in line with its global expansion strategy, has acquired 80% of Blue Harbour, a boutique bluetooth and mobile marketing company in Portugal, through its subsidiary Mobilera Iberia. Transaction Agreements and documentation were completed on the 31st of May. Mobilera Iberia, a joint venture between Mobilera Holding and Partrouge of Quifel Holding respectively, aims to expand Mobilera’s services primarily in Portugal, Spain and Brazil. Initial target country to grow is Portugal where there are good growth prospects for mobile marketing and mobile advertising. Blue Harbour, led by Miguel Barros, on the other hand, has specialized primarily in bluetooth marketing solutions for brands and since its establishment in early 2008, has quickly become a leader in this niche area of mobile marketing. Major brands and telecom operators in Portugal have already been welcoming Mobilera’s services and briefs are being received for the rest of the year. With this acquisition Mobilera now expands its reach to 9 countries after Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Jordan and U.K. Baris Oney, the CEO of Mobilera Holding B.V. said We are very happy to close our transaction with Blue Harbour and enthusiastic to bring our most innovative technology and CRM based mobile marketing and mobile advertising products and services to the brands and mobile operators in Portugal.
